1- Didnt think you could have gambling, booze etc on euro shirts, however they have them for the Champions league dont they?

2 - Even he wanted to celebrate Rice's Goal. The Basmati Billy Bonds!!!

One thing that should be interesting to watch is the commentators and pundits if we do well and progress into the next stages.

All of then banging on about Rice leaving if he wants "regular European football" might have to reconsider their thoughts should "regular European football" (look to) become part of the West Ham seasonal calender.

I also though last nights commentators on BT were finding it difficult to put any actual belief into their comments about West Ham playing well against a "favoured opposition".

My stream was quite buffery, almost to the point of being un-watchable at times, but were any of the media's favourite Splitter Six mentioned at all during OUR game?

Two burning questions that were probably covered in this thread…..

1. Why was there no sponsor on their shirts

2. What was their captain playing at after Rice scored and celebrated

I know it's only been one game but I have a horrible sinking feeling about Vlasic. He was absent from the game against, what really were Championship quality opposition.

factory - Right. It puts these players in the shop window too and should increase their values too. Europe is progress for many reasons, but it can't just be a one off though.

factory seconds I completely agree,Man Utd thought there was something in Moyes to take over from Ferguson.
We appear to be seeing he’s (and back rooms staff)potential now.what a huge turnaround.
Long may it last.

Re: ⚽ Dinamo Zagreb v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Europa League FT 0-2
having europe means everyone in the squad gets a chance to play meaningful games, which means they give more of a shit in training, which leads to the squad performing better as a whole due to the levels going up.

Fredericks played well,it wasn’t long ago people were calling Cresswell all the cunts under the sun.I’d written Lanzini off.
Moyes has turned us into a good team.

I'm not trying to break up the squad. I'm pretty confident that if he was sold, Moyes could replace him with someone good, and possibly younger.

At 28, he's at the peak of his career and could grace plenty of Premier League clubs.

You wonder how long people have been supporting West Ham when they say they dont want a certain player because we already have a player for that position.
Fredericks is very much Coufal's deputy but saw yesterday he can fill in and hopefully we will see the benefit on Sunday when VLAD leaves Ronaldo in a wimpering heap.

Saw the same with people saying we didnt need Lingard because Benrahma will play.
For our squad I want Benrahma AND Vlasic AND Lingard

I'm still buzzing. The best bit was choosing the MOTM, obviously Rice wins it, but looking through the squad, almost all of our players excelled and deserved a mention.

Well, I bet COYI is a little quiet this morning after his predictions of us getting a hiding yesterday.

Fredericks was my MOTM, thought he was absolutely brilliant.

What a magnificent achievement, 18 months ago we almost got relegated, now we're beating decent teams in Europe.

All hail the Moyesiah.

Great performance against probably the best team in the group, certainly the most European nous. However we must guard against complacency.

"I hope he gets noticed and brought to a club where he will be first choice"

Typical small minded attitude towards this club.

He's a good back up player for a top 6 team. Perfect for when our first choice RB is injured or rested, and he's paid handsomely for that. A bit injury prone when he was first choice, so the role suits him

Why do people like Darby look to break up our squad? Especially at a club like West Ham where we’ve clearly struggled to get good cover? The goal should be to get into/ stay in as many competitions as possible so most the squad gets used or has to be used.

Re: ⚽ Dinamo Zagreb v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Europa League FT 0-2
Excellent performance , surprisingly comfortable in what on paper was the hardest game in the group.
Was all for a full strength team but Moyes judged it perfectly.
Finishing top opens things up so that has to be the goal.

Well done all that went and hope all get back safely.
On to Sunday and breaking Sky's hearts by smashing the Mancs.

Re: ⚽ Dinamo Zagreb v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Europa League FT 0-2
While Fredericks is nowhere as good as Coufal, has he ever played as well as he is under Moyes? He's the classic honest pro. Never complaining or sulking when he loses his place to a better player, but putting his head down and shining when he gets the chance.

I hope he gets noticed and brought to a club where he will be first choice.

Re: ⚽ Dinamo Zagreb v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Europa League FT 0-2
That will be our hardest group game I’m sure in the others we may even see more changes such as Kral playing for one of Soucek and Rice.

Surprised Areola was not playing.

Moyes done the right thing in not changing too much.

Re: ⚽ Dinamo Zagreb v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Europa League FT 0-2
I’m more shocked, than delighted, at how easy we made that look, but I am over the moon.

We have every chance of winning the group, which will put us straight into the last 16 knock out phase, avoiding the last 32 knock out round when CL clubs join in.

I trust Moyes will keep everyone focused and not complacent.

Exciting times.

absolutely brilliant all round last night- thought they all approached and played the game at a different level. Having said that, zagreb were poor and looking at napoli v leicester- they too were at a different level and should have won

Lets get out the group as winners and see what happens

Zouma was class

Re: ⚽ Dinamo Zagreb v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Europa League FT 0-2
Playing in the European ARENA may have given Lanzini that extra edge, hopefully the same will happen with Yarmalenko and others. It's certainly something different, that game last night was certainly different to what we see weekly in the PL.
